Random Kindness and a new Set

Thank goodness its Friday!!! Just the thought makes me smile!! Of course, tonight is Cropper's Club, which is my favorite night of the week!!! I just love the sweet ladies that I have come to know and treasure during Cropper's Club!! They are an absolutely amazing bunch of women!!! Hugs to you all!!!

My quote for yesterday was from Mark Twain and goes like this, "The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else." So often the cares of this life weigh us down and our focus is ourselves and our worries. I am determined to change that focus today and brighten up someone else's day and I challenge you to look for opportunities for Random Acts of Kindness!!! We can make a difference in this world!!!

I finished up the Devonshire card set last night...Whoo hoo!! What a gorgeous line of papers! They make for an elegant card set for sure!!!

Supplies used:

Kaiser Craft Devonshire Papers

Garage Sale and Creating!!!

I have been working on Benny's graduation announcements and I am sorely behind, but that has been the story of my life since the first of the year. I am feeling like it is time to declutter and get ready for some serious change!!! I want to grow and move on from the disappointments and setbacks from the previous year! So, I am having a garage sale next weekend and I am cleaning out all the excess....... and I have a lot of excess!! If you are wanting some good scrappy goodies for really cheap...plan on stopping by. I am determined to be ready for my family and make Benny's graduation very special!!!

In between all the cleaning and purging I have been creating!!!! Thank goodness for a hobby that is so very theraputic!!! I have been working with the Devonshire line from Kaiser Craft and it is just gorgeous!!! This will be the first in a series of cards featuring this line!!

Miss you Mom!!!

My heart aches today as May 3rd is my Mom's birthday!!!
It has been a year and a half since she went to be with Jesus and
I miss her so!!!
A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
