Here's the final card in my Lullaby Lane All Occasion Card Series!! I just can't tell you how much I enjoyed working with these papers!!

I just love the sweet little images that are found on the Puppydogs and Pigtails sheet of papers...Toooo Cute!! I also used the gorgeous Lullaby Lane Die Cut shape for the bottom edge of my card. This is my favorite card out of the whole set!!
Here's a list of the supplies that I used:

Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane Papers
Martha Stewart Punches
Prima Flower
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Seam Binding died with Tim Holtz Distress Reinkers-Walnut Stain and Broken China
PTI Stamps-Blooming Button Bits

A bit of good news!!!! Whooo hooo!!! I'm a winner!!! I won a set of new Webster's Pages Wonderfall Papers!!!! I just love that line and I can't wait to play with them!!!!

Well, as Monday approaches we will be getting used to my sweetie's new work schedule...it is definitely going to be interesting. My new schedule won't start for a couple of weeks, but it will be very different too!!! I'm glad we get to work into it all slowly!!! I know the Lord has a plan in all of this and we trust Him to carry us through!!!

I hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of summer!!! It is so amazing how quickly it all goes by!!! I still have a number of items on my list that need to be taken care of and we have to get Benny ready to leave for AIT...so the next weeks will be very full!!!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!!!
I hope you know that you are special and I am sending each of you a smile to brighten your day!!! :)

A Heart of Gratitude!!

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to those of you who have offered words of encouragement over the past week!!!! It means so much to me and my husband to know that we have people who love us and care about us!!! I had a very special visit from my friend Susan Beth who brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers!! How special was that!!! I was blessed beyond measure!! Thank you my friend!!! We also had an unexpected gift that helped us out tremendously!!! Thanks Dad!!!! We are thankful for each and every one of you!!!

We are in for a season of change once again and we continue to trust in the Lord. I want those of you who frequent Simply Fresh Arts to know that school will be starting soon and I will not be able to be at the store as much as I have been in the past. I plan to continue Cropper's Club and Thinking Inking classes on Friday nights and I will teach and work on some Saturdays, but due to work scheduling conflicts for both my husband and myself, the change is necessary! I am letting go and letting God work in this situation and I trust it will all work out!

I have finally finished the third in a series of All Occasion Cards using Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane. This card is a shaped card with a few fussy cut flowers. I just love shaped cards and I hope you all like it too!!!
Here is a close-up of the fussy cutting....I tried to keep it to a minimum....but you know how I love to use patterned paper to embellish!!!
I am also thankful for Scrapping the Music!!! STM challenges give me a great deal of therapy during this season of change. It is a challenge that allows me to create for fun!!! No pressure, no expectations-just fun! I love Scrapping the Music!!!
This week's song is based on REM's Shiny Happy People!!! What a fun song to scrap!!! Just thinking about it makes me smile!!! I found some pictures of my kids that were taken while we were playing on the beach in Washington in June. They were perfect for this song!!! We had such a great time, and just looking at these pictures fills my heart with joy!!!
I hope that you join in the fun this week at Scrapping the Music!!! You'll be glad you did!! Once again I used my scraps to create this layout as well as some Tim Holtz Distress Ink reinker mists. Way fun!!!

Thank you all for being patient with me this week!!
You are all so special to me and I appreciate you all!!!

Scrapping the Music

Hi Friends!!! I can't wait to share this week's song with you!!! We are featuring Sheryl Crowe's song Soak Up the Sun!!! What a great summery song to scrap to!!! Here's my take on the song:
The photo was taken while we were at Point no Point visiting with our kids. It felt sooooo good to Soak up the Sun!!!! I used up a lot of my leftover stickers and chipboard goodies that I've had around forever!! I challenge you to get out your stash and see what you can use with this song!! Are you game?? I'll be lookin for you over at Scrapping the Music!!!
Have a great night,

Before the Morning and More Fun with Webster's!!

Hope you're having a fabulous Wednesday!! I've been busy this week filling out employment applications, hoping to find myself a full-time job! I am hopeful and trusting in the Lord. It is so hard to trust sometimes! I find myself taking my worries back, even though I know that worrying doesn't help anything! So my goal for today is to remember to keep giving my worries to the Lord, take every thought captive, seek His Face, and all these things will come together.

I've been having fun playing with Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane!!
Such pretty papers with so many possibilities!!
This will be the second in a set of cards featuring these papers!!
I want to leave you with a wonderful song a friend of mine shared on her Facebook!! It touched my heart tremendously and I hope it will touch yours!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a wonderful day,
Kristii

Matt's Birthday Adventure

Today is our favorite SIL's birthday!!! So we decided to take him birthday shopping. What better place to go birthday shopping than REI?
We couldn't get Matt to decide what he wanted for his birthday!

We tried......
and we tried.....
Kristii got tired of waiting....
and picked out some cute goodies for herself!!! (Go Mom!!!)

We got so tired waiting for Matt to speak up...
so we went to the newest hot spot for lunch!!!!
We tried to get Matt to decide on a beer, so we decided for him!!!
After eating such a wonderful lunch, we were stuffed and sleepy, so we took him to our favorite coffee shop....
Where we enjoyed Matt and Beth's company!!!
We love you Matt and Beth and wish we were close enough to actually spend your birthdays with you!! We hope you enjoyed Matt's birthday adventures....we certainly did!!!

Love,
Your Family!!!

Little Red Scrapbook July Reveal!!

I just loved this month's kit at Little Red Scrapbook!! The colors were so fun to play with all the embellies were just perfect for summer fun layouts!!! This first one was taken on the beach at Point no Point, Washington. I just love my sweet Heidi's smile, so I had to do a layout about it!!
The clouds were cut out of the Cloud 1 and Cloud 2 Die Cut Collection from Papertrey Ink.

This next layout tells what has been on my heart over the last several days!!! It is hard being the parents of adult children!
The journaling states: They may not always choose what we would like for them to choose, and we can't keep them from getting hurt, but we can pray for them, give them to the Lord and they will be ok!!

I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the next card! Such a dramatic effect!!!
I also wanted to share what we will be doing at Cropper's Club for the Thinking inking class this week. I always like to do a quick and fun technique after a more involved technique, so this week we will be playing with Tim Holtz' Patchwork Fades Embossing Folder, Distressing Inks, and Rock Candy Crackle Paints. Such a dramtic technique that is oh so easy!!!
Thanks for stopping by this evening!!!
I appreciate all of you!!

Here's the sketch:
and here's my take on the sketch:
I just love all the bright colors and flowers in the Bo Bunny Petal Pushers line. It's perfect for making your own embellishments and adding a little bling!!! The picture was taken during our vacation in Washington while the family was at the Ballard Locks. Dad was awesome at taking pictures while I was enjoying myself at the Copic certification class! You rock Dad!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful day,

and I used my punches....
There are so many possibilities with this kit!!! I know you are going to love it!!!

It's Friday and I'm feeling Good!!

Happy Friday everyone!!! I am finally feeling like I am back in the swing of things!! It has taken me over a week since we arrived home from vacation, but I am feeling less stressed and more settled! I still have those rooms to clean out, but hopefully I will be able to work on that project over the next several days!! I have started creating again and boy does that feel good. I was in a bit of a dry spell and hopefully the mojo will keep on flowing!!

I just love Friday's because it is Cropper's Club and I always love teaching Tim Holtz' inking techniques!!! Today's technique will feature Paint Resist.
We will be using Hero Arts Antique Engravings and Friends Stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Adirondack Paint Dabbers, and Glossy Accents.
I look forward to sharing this technique with you and I can't wait to see the masterpieces you will create!!!

I have been planning a couple of classes for August and I tell you, it took me a while to get out of the mojo-less state I was in. The tag really helped and working with Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane helped even more!!! The papers are so pretty...they really get my creative juices flowing!! This will be the first in a series of cards that I will be planning a class for in August.
I just love making embellishments with my patterned papers!! These flowers were so fun and easy to make with my Big Shot and PTI dies!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! I pray the Lord fills your cup to overflowing so His Love will spill over and bless hearts in need in the days to come!!!
Happy Creating,
Kristii

Scrapping the Music #142

Hi dear friends!!! I hope this post finds you enjoying your summer!!! It's going by way too quickly, but I am definitely enjoying the warm summer days...finally!!! It has been so chilly here in Montana, but I think we are finally on the warm side and it feels good!!!

This week's song at Scrapping the Music is a great blast from the past by Elton John. Tiny Dancer is the title and I chose to use the title for my page as well!!
I used a picture of Heidi from long ago when she was in the Nutcracker Ballet. What a wonderful experience it was for both the girls!!! The title was perfect for my sweet "Tiny Dancer!"
I used a collection of Echo Park stickers and a patterned paper from October Afternoon and a Basic Grey Paper Doilie. Way fun paper made the whole layout whimsical and fun!!!
I still have lots of pictures to post from my vacation and I don't know if you noticed but I do have a Copic Marker Certified Instructor button now, whoooo hooo!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a wonderful evening!!
